As Catholics, in the absence of communion with each other and Holy Communion, we've had a chance to reflect upon the joy that comes from fellowship, and the life that comes from the Eucharist. As the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, we welcome you back to St. Joseph the Worker to experience that joy and life for we are Created for Communion.
Created for Communion
With the COVID-19 pandemic subsiding, we can safely return to the Communion for which we were created. That is, we are created for communion with each other, and we are created for Holy Communion, “the source and summit of the Christian Life.” (CCC 1324). Welcome back to that for which you were created!
Created for Fellowship
Just as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have a living union, so are we created to reflect their union in our relationships with others. It is through our relational nature that we recognize our unity and grow in love and holiness. Welcome back to that for which you were created! Our SJTW community is incomplete without you!
Created for Eucharist
Each weekend during Mass, Jesus Christ becomes truly present in the Eucharist. We become one with Jesus each and every time we participate. How beautiful that Jesus has given us a way to be intimate with Him. Welcome back to that for which you were created!
“For where two or more are gathered...”
Jesus tells us, “there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20) Certainly, we can pray anywhere; the Lord invites us to relationship with Him. As such we can hear his voice and speak to him anywhere. However, there is something extra special about coming together in worship at St. Joseph the Worker. There is nothing more special than us being together, praying together, singing together, celebrating together. With the COVID-19 pandemic subsiding, it is time to gather again to pray, and lift our hearts in praise to God. We joyfully await the reunion of our parish family at Mass.
Created for Fellowship
While livestreaming, watching Mass on TV, and listening to it on the radio have been suitable ways to celebrate the Lord’s Day when it was not possible (or safe) for us to gather in-person, they lack one key piece: Jesus Himself. During the Mass celebration, Jesus Christ becomes truly present in the Eucharist. The bread and wine are not simply signs that lead us to Christ, but completely transform into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Welcome home to St. Joseph the Worker! We invite you to come to the Lord’s table and fully receive him once again.
An Answered Prayer
We have prayed patiently and faithfully for the end of the pandemic. Thanks be to God, for He is answering our prayers! With the COVID-19 pandemic subsiding, we can return to the Communion for which we were created. We invite you to return to Mass, if you have not already. We have room to welcome everyone home to St. Joseph the Worker. Our Mass is incomplete without you.
Glad To Be Back
We are so glad you are back with us, for we are Created for Communion! As the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, consider welcoming a friend, neighbor, family member, or loved one back to Mass to experience that joy and life. St. Joseph the Worker is happy to have you back and welcomes all!
It’s A Homecoming
Welcome home to St. Joseph the Worker! This is your spiritual home and we are happy to have you back. Join us in inviting others to come to the Lord’s table and fully receive him once again.
