“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
– 1 Corinthians 12:27
The Parish Council at SJTW provides visionary leadership to the parish community, focusing on collaboration and communication between the council, members, staff, committees, and ministries. Anne Rosario is an active member of the Parish Council, where she engages in monthly meetings alongside fellow members and church staff. Seeking deeper community involvement with her husband, Anne decided on the Parish Council. Through her involvement, she has not only strengthened her relationship with God but also contributed to her family's spiritual growth.
Her favorite part of her role is building relationships with other parishioners. Reflecting on this, she shares, “[It] has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of how the church operates and the vital role the members of the parish play in strengthening and sustaining the community.”
As a committed member of SJTW, Anne believes that “God calls us to invest our time and gifts so that we can grow as a church and share God’s love with others.” If anyone is interested in joining the Parish Council, talk to Fr. Mike or any Parish Council member. Members commit to serving for at least 3 years. “If you feel led to serve in this capacity, I encourage you to reach out!” The 3-year terms begin with the new fiscal year in July.
