Mission Statement:The Mental Health Ministry at St. Joseph the Worker exists to foster a parish culture that is versed in the integration of our faith and mental health through education and support as we journey together in living the mission of Christ.
What is a Parish Mental Health Ministry? • A parish mental health ministry provides vital spiritual accompaniment and pastoral care for people experiencing mental health challenges and mental illness, as well as those who care for them. • A parish mental health ministry helps overcome the stigma and discrimination that people living with a mental illness encounter in the Church and in human society. • A parish mental health ministry recognizes the value of professional mental health care and the importance of collaboration with healthcare organizations and professionals.
Join us! Monthly meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm.
We invite you to watch for events, educational opportunities, prayer services, and speaker series in the parish.
