Encouraging faith formation and sharing at home for SJTW members
Take-Home Backpacks
Your backpack contains items to encourage continued faith formation and sharing right in your home. It is intended for all SJTW households, regardless of the number of family members or your ages. Throughout the next several weeks, we will be highlighting certain items within the backpack to provide context and more information. This supplemental set of backpack materials contains items that will take you through Lent of 2021. Add these items to your SJTW backpack and join us in discovering what each means over the coming weeks.

The Knights will have one Rolling Fish Fry this Lenten season on Friday March 19th with To Go Orders only. The menu this year is Deep Fried Cod (2 pcs approximately 4oz each), Fries, Coleslaw, & Brownie

Weaving or Braiding the Blessed Palms from Palm Sunday
There is a long tradition of creating objects from the blessed palms of Palm Sunday. People take the objects and place them behind a crucifix, image of Christ, Mary or the Saints in their homes. As blessed items, the palms should never be thrown away. They should be burned or buried in the earth. In fact, old palms are collected before Ash Wednesday to create the ashes used to mark peoples foreheads.
