Because of the serious nature of the life-long decision involved, marriage preparation is very important. As a result, the Archdiocese has set in place a process of marriage preparation. This process includes filing the necessary paperwork, attending a pre-marriage seminar, completing a couple inventory and reviewing the results. This can be a lengthy process; therefore couples should begin this process a minimum of 9 months in advance of their desired wedding date.

This process is designed for children who have never been baptized, those who were baptized in another faith tradition who would now like to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church or those children who have not been participating in the sacramental life of the Church. Children and families will attend these sessions together. In their small groups the children will meet God in many different ways.
