LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Schedules and Procedures

Bread Making
This ministry requires a physical ability to knead the bread dough as prepared. The bread is baked every Saturday in the Church Kitchen.

Environment and Art
These are craftspeople - artisans, potters, carpenters, painters, banner-makers, garment makers and people willing to implement the decoration for various seasons. This ministry provides a warm and inviting environment for our liturgies. We are gently nudged into a season such as Advent or Lent by the symbols, sights and smells that are the result of this group's planning and preparation. You are invited to share your creativity with the community by being a part of this ministry.

Eucharistic Ministry
This ministry extends the spirit of Communion by assisting in the distribution of the Precious Body and Blood of Christ. The appointment is for three years and this ministry is open to anyone who has received the Sacrament of Confirmation. There is a need for this ministry at all liturgies.

Hospitality Ministry
This group welcomes all who come through our doors at St. Joseph the Worker. They are the first people a stranger comes in contact with and they represent us, the worshipping community. Hospitality Ministers also provide for the orderly flow of the liturgies, seating, collecting the gifts, tidying up after the liturgy and pointing the way to the restrooms and drinking fountains. Hospitality is the greatest way to extend our love to all those who enter this space. This is a great way to minister as an entire family.
