Housing for ALL in Maple Grove
Is a faith based coalition of four area churches that is working for life cycle housing for all in our community. Our goal is to ensure sustainable and sufficient lifecycle housing in Maple Grove to promote the economic growth and healthy families required for a thriving community.
This vibrant, dedicated group meets the first Thursday of every month at 9AM at St. Joseph the Worker and is actively working to provide housing options for all.
We have 3 sub groups seeking to provide lifecycle housing for people in all stages of life in the city of Maple Grove.
Land Trust
Our goal is to have two land trust homes by the end of 2008. We are partnering with Homes within Reach. This life transforming opportunity provides affordable home ownership for working families that qualify. To learn more about land trust see http://www.homeswithinreach.org/index.htm
Powerful Presence in the Community
This group is working to educate the community about the need for housing options for all and how it will benefit our whole community to have them.
Comprehensive Land Use Plan
This group is working closely with the city group reviewing the Comprehensive Land Use plan that is currently being updated to ensure that life cycle housing is incorporated in the plans.
